The Program

This program is for teens aged 10-18 (must be 18 until May. 2026). Rehearsals will be held at Grand River Early Learning Academy located in the Avalon plaza - 34 Richard William Drive Unit 1.

Fees are non-refundable after February 1, 2025.  A $50 admin fee will be deducted from all refunds.

The number of Lead and Supporting roles are based on the show title.  Lead and Supporting roles are not guaranteed for anyone and must be auditioned for.  The Ensemble carries the story and are a vital part of any production.

Auditions for Lead and Supporting roles will take place on Friday February 6th and Sunday February 8th.  You will be sent a link to a Google Drive with the character breakdowns, music and a short choreography video.  Please come prepared with 2 songs, 1 song from the show and 1 song that shows off your voice and learn the chorography. Songs can be sung acapella or using a backing track.  Remember to act out your songs as we are not requiring a monologue for this audition. Show off your skills!

Anyone seeking Ensemble roles, will not be required to audition however we highly recommend that they book a timeslot and give it a try.  This is an ensemble and dance intensive show, so we would like to see as many auditions as possible.  Auditioning is an important part of learning Musical Theatre.

Rehearsals: Mondays & Thursdays 6:15-8:45 (some weekend afternoons may be added).   First Rehearsal Thursday February 19th.

March Break:  There will be no rehearsal on March break unless the cast specifically requests it as we know many families travel that week. 

Easter Monday:  There will be no rehearsal on April 5

Additional Break:  There will be no rehearsal May 7th as the director is assisting with another production that week

Tech Week: Additional rehearsal time may be added the week of the production

Dress Rehearsal: Thursday prior to opening night 5:00-9:00 (pizza will be provided).- full costume on stage

Show Dates: May 22 & 23 (including school matinee)

Show Location: Caledonia Lions Hall 100 Haddington Street

Program Cost: $350 per cast member + commitment to sell tickets

Payment Method:  All payments must be sent via e-transfer to info@grandriver-ela.ca within 48 hours of enrolment to secure space
