Jr Preschool

Welcome to the Jr Preschool Program!

Just like or toddler program, our Jr Preschool Program is separated into 2 classrooms.  The team of Preschool educators work together to create a cohesive program between the 2 rooms.  The children have opportunities to play together in each of the classrooms as well as separately in their own designated program.   Our Sr preschool/Kindergarten program also joins the group at the beginning and end of the day.

Our educators engage with the children and provide them activities based on their observations and documentation of the children's skills and development.  They provide opportunities for structured and unstructured learning by creating space for small group activities and learning through play provocations.  Our preschoolers learn life skills and independence through engagement and encouragement.

During outside play our preschoolers spend time in our designated play space, go on community walks, and walk to the neighbourhood park.  They explore their natural surroundings and utilize the chance for gross motor play and development. 

Our educators provide a welcoming environment and guidance to engage the children in learning opportunities and guide them to build on their skills in all areas of devleopmment - langage, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive.  Providing learning through play experiences, the preschoolers learn through the 4 interconnected foundations of Belonging, Well-Being, Engagement, and Expression.
