Waitlist Policy

At Grand River Early Learning Academy, we strive to accommodate all requests for the registration of a child at the Academy. No fee will be charged for placing a child on the waiting list.

Our wait list is automatically organized in chronological order, based on the date and time that the request was received. When space becomes available in the program, priority will be given to children who are currently enrolled in the program that need to move to a new classroom, family members of currently enrolled children, and children of employees. Once these children have been placed, other children on the waiting list will be prioritized based on program availability, full time enrollments, needs of the classroom, the chronology in which the child was placed on the waiting list and the start date request.  

Parents/Guardians of children on the waiting list will be notified via email or phone call that a space has become available in their requested program.

Parents/Guardians will be provided a timeframe of 1 business days in which a response is required before the next child on the waiting list will be offered the space.  When a response has not been received within the given timeframe, the director, supervisor or designate will contact the parent of the next child on the waiting list to offer them the space, and your name will be removed from our list. 

Once a space is available, the Director or Supervisor will schedule an in-person tour and parent accompanied play visit.
